Description Archive relating to the Feminist Movement, in Bristol and the South West from the 1970s to c.2000. The archive concentrates on activities relating to the West Country, but has a wider perspective, covering the Feminist and Women's Movement in Britain. Of particular interest are materials relating to the Greenham Common Women of the 1980s who protested against the sighting of nuclear warheads at the Greenham Airbase near Newbury, Berkshire. There is also materials relating to Dora Russell, and her Women's Peace Caravan across Eastern Europe in 1958.
