Description Archives of the Women's Liberal Federation including printed and manuscript material. There are also photographs, annual reports and publications.

The Women's Liberal Federation was part of the Liberal Party and formed between 1886 and 1887 under the presidency of Catherine Gladstone. Many members of the Federation were the relations of Liberal MPs and were accustomed to the mechanics of party politics, Asquith's daughter, Violet Bonham Carter and Lloyd George's daughter Megan were both active members of the organisation.

There is also printed Quarterly Leaflets of the Women's National Liberal Association, 1895-1912, DM1193/4/3/1-3 and DM1193/4/5; and minutes of the Women's Liberal Association (Corfe Mullen, Dorset Branch and national), and of the East Dorset Union of Women's Liberal Association. (DM1193/1).
